Santiago, Chile – September 26, 2025 – Hygreen Energy, a global electrolyzer manufacturer and hydrogen technology leader, showcased its presence at two major industry trade shows in Chile at the beginning of September, outlining a visionary path for green hydrogen development. The company's participation in the 2025 Hyvolution Hydrogen Exhibition and the 2025 International Molybdenum Association (IMOA) Conference highlighted not only the Hygreen Energy’s presence of South America market, but also a powerful, two-way synergy between the green hydrogen and molybdenum industries, positioning Chile as a promising hub for green hydrogen and sustainable innovation.

Hyvolution 2025: Localizing Green Hydrogen Production in Chile

At Hyvolution, Hygreen Energy joined the “China Daxing Green Hydrogen Delegation” to underscore Chile’s potential as a low-cost green hydrogen producer, powered by abundant renewable energy like solar and wind power. A key focus was the company’s planned Biobio-based electrolyzer factory, backed by Chilean agency Corfo. The factory embodies a "produce-and-apply-locally" model, strategically positioned to supply major green hydrogen projects across Chile and South America. The project is now advancing from the planning phase toward implementation, poised to become one of South America's largest electrolyzer production plants.

IMOA Conference: Enabling a Two-Way Green Relationship

During the IMOA conference, Hygreen Energy captured attention by proposing a circular model of mutual reinforcement between green hydrogen and molybdenum. This concept moves beyond the traditional one-way relationship to create a sustainable, closed-loop ecosystem: green hydrogen decarbonizes molybdenum mining and production, while molybdenum-based materials are critical to enhancing the green hydrogen value chain. This “green hydrogen-molybdenum loop” received strong endorsement from the international molybdenum community.

Through its participation in events like Hyvolution, Hygreen Energy is translating visibility into actionable partnerships. The Biobio factory—set to become one of South America’s largest electrolyzer manufacturing plants—will use Chilean renewables to supply local mining, while molybdenum outputs circle back to strengthen hydrogen infrastructure. By connecting hydrogen production with hard-to-abate sectors, Hygreen is supporting Chile’s transition from resource exporter to green hub.
